Why You Should Only Buy USDA Certified Organic Baobab Fruit

We have been getting a lot of questions recently about what type of Baobab Fruit to buy.  Quick recap for those of you who are not familiar with the Baobab Fruit options here in the USA…

The Baobab Fruit grows in Africa.  You pretty much can NOT find the actual Baobab Fruit in the USA, instead what you find is Baobab Fruit Pulp Powder or Supplements.  Normally, we are not a big fan of fruit powders or supplements, since once you start processing a fruit and turning it into powder, you lose the nutrients.  However, the Baobab Fruit naturally dehydrates in the shell, so you do NOT need to heat it or process it in anyway to make Baobab Fruit Powder Pulp.  For this reason, you can do very well with a Baobab Fruit Pulp powder, but you still need to do your homework…

If It Is Not USDA Certified Organic, Simply Don’t Buy It

Baobab Fruit is filled with nutrients and that is great for your health, but you want to make sure the fruit is not filled with things that are NOT good for your health.  As Baobab Fruit gets more popular, more fruit is being harvested, and not always in the most pure way.  You obviously don’t want Baobab Fruit that has pesticides or other harmful contaminants in the pulp.

To make sure the Baobab Fruit Powder you get is pure, you need to look at the label and make sure it says -

Made With 100% USDA Certified Organic Baobab Fruit AND NO OTHER INGREDIENTS

You also need to see the USDA Organic Seal on the label -

By buying Organic Certified Baobab Fruit, you are certain that the product is free of harmful pesticides.

Just The Word Organic On The Label Is Not Enough

You may see some Baobab Fruit products that say “Made with Organic” or “Contains Organic Baobab” or “All Natural” – THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.  A product could have some organic Baobab but then also be mixed with non-organic ingredients.  You need to see the 100% USDA Certified Organic Seal as it means the product really is organic.

Ask Them To Prove It, Words Are Cheap

I wish this step wasn’t necessary, but we have heard too many stories of companies claiming to have organic products, only to find out that was not the case.  Anyone can put an Organic Seal on their label or website and tell you their product is 100% Organic.  You have the absolute right as a consumer to ask to see the lab tests and documents that show their Baobab Fruit product is pure and Organic.

This is exactly why we tell people to get Limitless Baobab when looking for where to buy baobab fruit.  If you look here on the Limitless Good site, you see they have all their certifications and lab work right there for you to see.  Nothing is being hidden, they are totally honest and that is very important when deciding where to buy your Baobab Fruit.
